rise的用法

rise [raɪz] rose risen rising (vi)上升;起立;起床;升官;漲價;聳立;應付

 

 vi. 上升;增強;(數量)增加;休會

 n. (數量或水準的)增加;興起;(數量、價格、價值等的)增長;(日、月等的)升起

 vt. 使浮上水面;使(鳥)飛起;復活;發酵

rise指具體事物的上升升起無被動

The price rises. (價格上升) =The price goes up.

 

The temperature rises. (氣溫上升)

The sea level is rising. (海平面上升)

The sun rises in the east. (太陽從東邊升起)

The teacher rose from his seat and walked into the classroom. 老師從位子上起身然後走進教室

give rise to  引起 = lead to 

Smoking leads to cancer.  抽菸導致肺癌

d.提出問題raise a question 

e.招募 to  raise  an  army 

Salaries have now been raised. 

現在薪水已增加了。

The price was raised to 10. 

價格漲到十英鎊。

Heavy rain raised the river stage. 

暴雨使河水水位升高。
