英文詢問歲數與回答

1.「How old＋be 動詞＋主詞?」， be 動詞隨著主詞變化I→am     He/She/It → is    They/We→are   單數名詞→is   複數N→are

 

2.回答「……歲」時，year(s) old 可省略，如：I’m three.。簡答句時可省略主詞，直接回答歲數，Three years old.。亦可省略 years old，直接回答數字，如：Three.。

3.一歲用 year old 表示，year 不加 s。一歲以上皆用加了 s 的 years old 表示。

How old are you? 你幾歲?

I’m five (years old). 我五(歲)。

How old is he / she / it? 他/她/它幾歲?

He is six (years old). 他六歲。
She is sixteen (years old).他十六歲。
It is one (year old). 它一歲。

How old are you / they? 你們/他們幾歲?

We are twenty (years old).我們二十歲。
They are twelve (years old). 他們十二歲。

4.詢問年齡的 Yes / No 疑問句為「Be 動詞＋主詞＋數字(＋years old)?」，其 be 動詞隨主詞變化。

Are you five years old? (你五歲嗎?)

Yes, I am. I am five years old.(是的，我五歲。)

No, I am not. I am seven years old. (不，我七歲。)

5.「數字-year-old」為形容詞用法，表示「……歲的」，不管幾歲 year都不加 s 。
例：Bob is a ten-year-old boy.（Bob 是個十歲的男孩。）

Is that seventeen-year-old girl your friend? (那位十七歲的女孩是你朋友嗎?)

 

I am a thirty-year-old doctor. 我是一名三十歲的醫師。

She is a ten-year-old student.她是一名十歲的學生。

6.用「主詞＋be 動詞＋at the age of＋數字.」表達「某人……歲」，age 即是「年齡」的意思，因此本句型不須再加 years old。
例：Sally is at the age of sixteen.（Sally 十六歲。）

Cindy幾歲? How old is Cindy?

她二十歲。She is twenty (years old).= She is a twenty-year-old girl.= She is at the age of twenty.

     Tina：你幾歲？  Ben：我二十歲。

     Tina:   How old are you?

     Ben:   I'm twenty years old.= I am at the age of twenty.

2.  Ella：Emma幾歲？  Jacky：她四十二歲。

     Ella:  How old is Emma?

       Jacky:  She is forty-two years old.

3.  Jame：他們幾歲？  Jessie:他們十三歲。

 

         Jame:  How old are they?

     Jessie:  They are thirty.

4.  Kate：你弟弟幾歲？  Tiffany：他一歲。

        Kate:  How old is your little brother?

 

     Tiffany: He is one year old.

5.  Mike：你們幾歲？  Tim：我們都15歲。

     Mike:  How old are you?

        Tim:  We are all fifteen years old.
