=not...any more than ...→前後皆不

Lily is no more interested in English than her brother.

=He is not interested in English any more than her brother.

=Neither Lily nor her brother is interested in English.

Lily 和她哥哥一樣都對英文沒興趣。

no less than (和...一樣...) →前後皆是

Kate is no less lazy than her father.

= Kate is as lazy as her father.

=Both Kate and her father are lazy.

Kate 和她父親一樣懶惰。

not more ....than沒有比...更...

Mandy is not more beautiful than Sandy.

Mandy沒有比Sandy 漂亮。

not less ....than 並沒有不如

Mandy is not less beautiful than Sandy.

Mandy 並沒有比Sandy醜。

no longer= not any longer =not anymore=no more不再...；再也不...

Hank doesn't hate the murderer any longer.

=Hank doesn't hate the murderer anymore.

no longer 放be 動詞後面；一般動詞前面；助動詞之後

(口訣:be後動前，與頻率副詞用法相同)

Cindy no longer works here. She is going to transfer to the Taipei office.

Cindy 不再在此工作了。她即將調職到台北辦公室。

Tina is no longer a doctor. She will be a mayor in the future. Tina不再是醫生了，她即將成為市長。

They will no longer be friends. 他們不再是朋友了。

Mr. Chen doesn’t live here anymore.= Mr. Chen doesn’t live here any longer.= Mr. Chen no longer lives here. 陳先生再也不住這裡了。

Your boyfriend won't love you anymore.=Your boyfried won't love you any longer.=Your boyfriend will no longer love you. 妳男友再也不愛妳了。
