 1.guest 客人的意思，因此提供給客人居住的房間即是客房 

2.Study這個字有多重意思，當動詞時意思有學習、攻讀、研讀仔細研究；調查（專題）研究；當名詞時有功課、課業、學業及書房的意思。 

3.bed原意為床鋪，因此有床鋪的房間即是臥房 

4.living是由live居住改分詞而來，原意為生活，加上room即生活空間，一家人的共同生活空間，即客廳。 

5.bath 原意為洗澡、澡盆、浴缸，相關片語為take a bath洗澡。洗澡的空間就是浴室(洗澡的地方) 

6.rest 是休息、躺；倚；靠的意思，因此讓人放鬆的地方，即是廁所(如廁的地方) 

 

7.dining 是由 dine 吃正餐、吃晚餐改動名詞而來。因此為用餐的房間即是餐廳(家裡獨立空間，用餐的地方) ，restaurant則指外面提供飲食服務的地點。 

注意分詞+room的都有空格，N+room的則緊密相鄰。
