Sexual discrimination  性別歧視

Discrimination是名詞，指「歧視、差別對待」。此外，Gender discrimination也可用來表示「性別歧視」。 racial discrimination 種族歧視sex discrimination性別歧視 age discrimination年齡歧視

 

Sex discrimination is when you are treated unfairly either because you are a man or because you are a woman. 當你是因為你是男人或女人而被不友善對待時即是性別歧視。

Sexual harassment  性騷擾

Harass指「騷擾、打擾」，Harassment指「騷擾行為」。

Sexual harassment is a form of discrimination and violence. 性騷擾是一種歧視與暴力的方式。

Sexual abuse  性虐待

Abuse指的是「虐待、殘忍對待」，mental abuse(精神虐待)、child abuse(虐待兒童)。 domestic abuse(家暴)

 

 Sexual abuse is an act of violence which the attacker uses against someone they perceive as weaker than them. 性虐待是一種暴力行為，攻擊者施虐他意識到比他們還弱的人。

Sexual assault  性侵害

Assault是名詞，指「攻擊、襲擊」

Sexual assault is an act in which one intentionally sexually touches another person without that person's consent, or coerces or physically forces a person to engage in a sexual act against their will. 性侵犯是一個故意地在性方面的碰觸行為，且沒有他人同意或強制或體力上迫使一個人違反意願去從事性行為。

Sexual bully  性霸凌

 

Bully可作為名詞，指「霸凌者、恃強凌弱者」，也可作動詞，表「欺凌、霸凌」之意。physical bully(肢體霸凌)、verbal bully(語言霸凌)以及sexual bully(性霸凌)。

Tom is charged with sexual bully. Tom被控性霸凌。

sexual orientation 性傾向

Everyone will be treated equally, regardless of sexual orientation.

不論性傾向如何，每個人都會被平等對待。

Rape  強暴

 

Rape可當作動詞「強姦、強暴」，也可作名詞「強暴罪」

Grope 摸；猥褻

 

Misconduct 不當行為；失職；濫用職權
