The prefix "fore-"' is put at the beginning of a noun or verb. It means "before" or"the front part of something."

The prefix "a-" is put at the beginning of a verb to form an adjective. It means "in a certain way."' It is also put at the beginning of a noun to form an adverb. It means

"in, on, at, or to a certain place."

live → alive 有活力的，有生氣的，活躍的

The prefix "a-"

字首“a-”可置於動詞前方,以形成表示該動作的狀態或該動作正在進行之形容詞。此類形容詞通常不置於名詞前,而是接在be詞後方作主詞補語。該字首也可置於名詞前方，以形成表示位置、方向之副詞。
