英文方位 位於南方 A在 B 的南部

A is in the south of B 是指 A 在 B 的南部，A是 B的一部分。其他方位用法以此類推。

 

Kenting is in the south of Taiwan.墾丁在台灣的南部。
Keelung is in the north of Taiwan. 基隆在台灣的北部。

Yilan is in the east of Taiwan. 宜蘭在台灣的東部。

Taichung is in the west of Taiwan. 台中在台灣的西部。

A is to the south of B

B以南就是A，A不屬於B的一部分，而是相鄰的關係。其他方位以此類推。

 

The Taiwan Strait is to the west of Taiwan. 台灣海峽在台灣西方。

Pacific Ocean is to the east of Taiwan.太平洋在台灣東部。

 

鳥兒從北到南飛用fly down；從南飛到北用 fly up。有往上／下的語感

The migratory birds fly down.
